JASON Matthews has urged his players to keep their discipline in key areas tomorrow (3pm) as Weymouth aim to record a league double over Chippenham Town.

The Bluebirds, labelled by former Magpies’ manager Phil Simkin as “a bunch of experienced bullies” earlier in the campaign, head to the Bob Lucas Stadium after being scouted by the Terras on Tuesday during their 3-1 defeat at Poole Town.

And Matthews believes the towering Wiltshire outfit could line up with as many as nine players over six feet tall in their ranks, making them a potent threat at set-pieces.

Commenting on tomorrow’s test, he told Echosport: “They are a very good side and they made it very difficult for us at their place.

“I think it’s one of the most difficult places to go in the league but we are at home and we will be expected to win again, and there is nothing different there.

“I had them watched at Poole on Tuesday night and I think they had nine players over six feet.

“They are very good from set-pieces too which stuck in my mind when we last played them, so we will have to be very wary and limit them by not giving away free-kicks around the box.

“It’s just a case of us getting the ball down, trying to play and taking the game to them rather than making it into a gun fight.”

Striker Tim Sills notched a brace in a 3-2 win for the Terras when the sides met at Hardenhuish Park in September last year.

Sam Poole is set to come back into the Terras’ squad tomorrow after recovering from a broken nose, and Matthews is confident that midfielders George Rigg and Chris McPhee will be ready for the encounter after both were replaced as precautions against St Neots Town in midweek.

“George has tweaked his thigh, we will monitor that, and Chris had a tight hamstring but I am hoping both will be fit,” the Terras’ boss added.

Matthews also hinted that right-back Jamie West could get 90 minutes for the reserves this weekend with Ashley Wells’ suspension looming. Chris Shephard is still suspended.

For the visitors, who were unbeaten in 2015 until being undone by the Dolphins in midweek, full-back Conor McCormack is likely to be out with a hamstring injury.

Before tomorrow’s game, the club will hold a minute’s silence and present the family of Danny Ferguson, who died this week, with a signed shirt from the players in his memory.
