BRIDPORT Reserves will be looking to build on their superb defeat of Hamworthy Recreation by picking up some much-needed league points this weekend.

The Bees’ 3-1 win against Rec in the Dorset Senior Trophy last time out gave boss Shaun Annetts his best moment to date in the St Mary’s Field hot-seat.

And after the confidence boost that gave his men, Annetts is keen to see another big performance against Weymouth Reserves at the Bob Lucas Stadium tomorrow (2pm).

“We’ll set up as best we can but we know Weymouth will be well organised and have a very good side,” he said.

“We will go there with a strong squad and definitely look to give them a good game, and we’re desperate for some points to get us away from the bottom of the table.

“We’ve got to be at our best to get something out of it, but we go there with a bit of confidence, no doubt about it.”

He added: “Matt Condliffe had to come off last Saturday but hopefully he will be available if Trevor (Senior) doesn’t need him for the first team.

“The rest of the lads came through the win against Ham Rec and should be available.”

The Bees are 14th out of the 17 teams in the Dorset Premier League, with Bradley Asagba’s Weymouth in sixth.

Meanwhile, Balti Sports, now third in the table, make the trip to Blandford United (2pm).

Balti were hammered by Shaftesbury in the league cup last Saturday but have Lewis Ironside, Charlie Kenderdine, Ashley Batchelor and Ricky Lane back tomorrow.
