FAMOUS Old Spa struck no fewer than six times without reply in a comfortable triumph over The Alex in the Weymouth Sunday League.

Chris Skinner was the Spa’s star of the show after he notched a hat-trick, there was also a brace for Ashley Hine and one for Craig Wells.

That result means the Spa remain six points behind table-topping Snookes with a game in hand.

The league leaders secured their 13th win from 15 league games, after they beat Broadmayne 4-2 at Redlands. Netting for Broadmayne was David Ash and James Moynehan.

Elsewhere in the division, Finns were deadlocked in a 2-2 draw with Kings Arms.

William Mitchell and Ashley Anderson found the net for Finns, while on target for the Kings, who led 1-0 at half-time, was Liam Parsons and Joe Walden.

Danny Andrews struck twice as third-placed Dolphin beat Market House 4-0 at Redlands.

There was also a goal each for Adam Anstey and Sheon McBride.

Dolphins are currently nine points adrift of top spot.

n This Sunday, Famous Old Spa and Finns are set to lock horns for the Les Hallett Trophy in the final of the competition, at the Bob Lucas Stadium (10.30am).

Following that will be the Len Mahoney Cup final between Dolphin and Snookes (1.30pm).
