BRIDPORT will go into their home clash against Odd Down (Bath) at St Mary’s Field tomorrow (3pm) without star striker Mark Salter.
The frontman, who has been the focal point of the Bees’ attack since joining from Street last year, is unavailable.
“We have no Mark Salter or Braeden Symes so it is going to be a big case of shuffling the pack,” Bridport manager Adam Fricker told Echosport.
“Myself and Paddy my assistant will be looking at the areas we need to be tighter on and making sure we are difficult to break down on Saturday.”
Asked if Salter’s absence means the Bees may have to change the way they play against last season’s Western League Champions, Fricker replied: “I think we are going to have to.
“He has that experience and that physical presence up top for us. He makes the ball stick. It’s something we need to ponder and see how we do set up for the game.
“With players like Tom Blair and Ed Butcher we know we have threats going forward, it’s just about us working on that defensive line and there will be no greater test for us than the strikers they have.”
