FORMER Dorchester Town defender Oakley Hanger scored his first goal in the USA as his Saginaw Valley State University side lost 3-2 at the hands of Northwood University.
Hanger played in midfield and scored his side’s second goal of the game in the 43rd minute after the ball fell to him from a poor clearance.
His team-mate Roderic Green opened the scoring in the 16th minute.
But the hosts fought back, levelling the game up before scoring the winner in extra-time through Bryan Lawson.
Hanger, who moved over to the States last month after gaining a scholarship, has featured in all three of SVSU’s games this season, including the opening two wins for the university.
