DORCHESTER Town player-manager Mark Jermyn described his side’s excellent 4-0 victory against Frome Town as “ruthless”.
A hat-trick from Nathan Walker and a strike from Mario Mateus saw the visitors to their second win of the season – both of which have come away from home.
Speaking after the win, Jermyn told Echosport: “In the changing room, there was a real ruthless attitude.
“The only thing that was on our players’ mind was that we were going to win and I’m pleased for everyone.
It gives us belief. It lifts the group, when you thump someone, and deservedly so, it gives us a huge morale boost.”
Speaking about his hat-trick hero, he added: “The stats don’t lie and it is undeniable. He is as good as any goalscorer (in this league).”
Not only were the four goals a just reward for the Magpies, so was the clean sheet. Something that Jermyn was happy about.
The boss said: “We have been conceding through the middle, so we tried to snuff that out.
“As a team we supported each other very well.
“I have to mention Shane Murphy. He made a great save when the score was 0-0. He got down really well and he was brilliant throughout the game. I don’t think anyone can argue with the result.”
After their cup loss 10 days ago, the Magpies are without a game this weekend and now have to wait until Saturday, September 24 for their next fixture, which is at home against St Neots Town.
