BALTI Boss Marco Nott is hopeful of a run in a cup competition this season, as the Dorset Premier League Cup gets in full swing tomorrow.

Nott’s men, who lead the way in the Dorset Premier League at present but were knocked out of the first round of the Dorset Senior Trophy, travel to Parley Sports in a bid to progress further in the knockout tournament (2.30pm).

Nott told Echosport: “With the League Cup we obviously have a chance because we are doing well in the league.

“There is no reason why we can’t have a little run in it and it’s always nice to try and get into the final. We haven’t been involved in many of them so it would be good.”

He added: “We want to try and keep a bit of continuity with the squad and we have a big game the week after. We won’t chop and change too much.

“The league has been absolutely relentless and it is a long league. To have a cup game every now and then is not a bad thing.

“It will be a tough game away at Parley but it’s one we will look forward to.”

Dorchester Sports are set to go to second-placed Holt United in their cup contest.

Sports boss Ashley James said: “It’s a difficult draw but we will go there and give it a go. We only lost there 2-1 last time and we felt a bit robbed at the end.

“We will go there, give it everything, and see what happens.”

Bridport Reserves host Swanage Town & Herston at St Mary’s Field (all 2.30pm).

Shaun Annetts’ side currently sit ninth in the league table, three places below the Swans.
