MARK Jermyn was left feeling frustrated after his side rued some good opportunities as they were defeated 2-1 by Dunstable Town at Creasey Park on Saturday.

Chris Dillon and Mario Mateus both had good opportunities too score for the Magpies but they were undone by strikes from Johnn Sonuga and Alex Carline.

Nathan Walker did score a consolation goal for the visitors, but the Dorchester Town player-manager felt his side should have had more.

He told Echosport: “We played a team that have been doing quite well and you could see why they are up there.

“But, I can’t see them being up there towards the end of the season.

“We gave away a soft first goal and the second is a great finish.

“We got a goal back and then Mario had a great chance and I think everyone in the ground will wonder how he didn’t score.

“There is a little frustration from him and we are frustrated not to come away with anything. I think it was a good, strong, spirited performance from us.”

Asked whether his team were the better side, Jermyn added: “I don’t think we were the better side but I don’t think we deserved to be on the losing team either.

“It had draw written all over it, and when we took it to 2-1 I thought we were going to get another and unfortunately it just wasn’t our day.”
