PLAYER-MANAGER Mark Jermyn is willing to try something different as his Dorchester Town get set to go toe to toe with high flying Slough Town tonight (7.45pm).

The Magpies travel to Arbour Park after they gained a resolute point against Redditch United on Saturday.

The Rebels have recently installed a 3G pitch at their ground and Jermyn feels this could be a huge factor.

He told Echosport: “One of the things with a 3G pitch is that you train on it twice a week and play on it every other Saturday.

“This does give you an advantage.

“We’re expecting Slough to move the ball extremely quickly and they will be a dominant force.

“We will probably have to set up a little differently and I have some plans in mind because we’ve got to box clever.”

Most of the county town side’s squad came through the weekend’s encounter unscathed with the only injury worry coming in the shape of Nick Crittenden (calf).

Jermyn added: “I don’t think Nick will be starting, he will be on the bench. It’s a tough one in midweek. We go there knowing we are going to have to take a few punches.”

Slough fell off the top of the table on Saturday after they were beaten 4-1 by Basingstoke.

However, the Rebels are yet to lose at home this season.
