DORCHESTER Town boss Craig Laird has been hit by the news that centre-half Chris Dillon will miss the rest of the season, after deciding to undergo an operation on a groin injury.
The Avenue defender has been plagued by the problem for a number of months.
Speaking about the situation, manager Laird told Echosport: “We have lost Chris Dillon. He is going to have an operation on his groin and is not going to be available for the rest of the season.
“He had been playing with this for a long time, even before I joined the club and I think these pitches haven’t helped, they have aggravated it even more.
“We have agreed that he will go and get himself sorted and hopefully be available for next year. We wish him all the best and hopefully it’s a successful operation.”
Laird did however announce that former Terras’ midfielder Luke Winsper has signed on dual-registration forms from Blackfield & Langley as cover for the Magpies.
