DORCHESTER Town have made a double appointment, filling the vacant first-team captaincy and reserves' assistant-manager roles.
Manager Craig Laird has opted to give the armband to defender Gary Bowles for the coming campaign, succeeding former skipper Nathan Walker after his move to Hamworthy United.
Meanwhile, Ryan Dovell has joined the Magpies as a player and assistant-manager for the club's reserves under boss Rich Robson.
Dovell has previous experience in a player-coach position after undertaking a similar job during ex-Bees boss Trevor Senior's tenure at St Mary's Field.
