IN-FORM Galaxy travel to title-chasing Donhead United this afternoon with the aim of recording a seventh straight win in all competitions (2pm).
The islanders enter the Dorset League Division Three encounter in high spirits but boss Colin Rice is fully aware of the task that lies ahead.
He said: “We lost 3-0 to Donhead earlier in the campaign, before I took over, in what I’ve been told was a poor Galaxy performance that day.
“This game isn’t going to be any easier. We have one or two influential players out for this one, most notably Dan Stone and Ross McFadden.”
On a more positive note, club secretary Andy Barber has swooped to sign Paul Cole from Weymouth Spartans but the striker is set to turn out for the reserves this weekend.
That means Matt Bird could make his 88th appearance for the Portland outfit, taking him above previous record holder and ex-Galaxy gloveman Pete Cowne.

Buoyed by the inclusion of new-signing Cole, Galaxy Reserves welcome Littlemoor to the Grove in Division Four (2pm).
Manager Justin Faulkner said: “We’ve got Paul with us this week so we will certainly make the most of him as I’m sure he will be a first-team regular before too long.”
A win for the islanders, coupled with a bad result for Swanage Town & Herston A, would move the second-string outfit off the foot off the table for the first time since Christmas.
