Upwey & Broadwey could be boosted by the return of three players ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Witchampton United at Redlands (3pm).

Clive Johnson and Ethan Devaney both look certain to be back in action and there is an outside chance that striker Pete Bochonko could also be fit despite suffering a hamstring strain back on September 9.

Upwey boss Steve Reynolds said: “Pete’s injury was not as bad as first feared.

“He has returned to light training and there is even a chance he could feature against Witchampton.

“Clive and Ethan should also be back and if we could pick up another win it would give us six points from our first three games which would not be too bad at all “Things appear to be shaping up well. It is still going to take time for some of the new players to fully bed in but there is good competition for places and hopefully we can continue to push on.”

Following back-to-back draws, Weymouth Sports are desperate to get their first win on the board this weekend but they will have to be at their best to achieve that at Piddletrenthide United (3pm).

Piddle lost 5-1 at Sturm-inster Newton United last Saturday but in their first game they battered Blandford United Reserves 8-2.

Sports’ joint-boss Chris Hicks, whose men were involved in a goalless stalemate against the Royals in their last outing, said: “We need to up our efforts this week because Piddletren-thide have a couple of decent players they can really hurt you.

“The pitch at Puddletown Rec is narrow and on a bit of a slope, and if we stand off them we will get punished, particularly by Neil Kellaway, who is constantly among the goals for them.”

Mike and Will Sonner will return for Sports tomorrow along with Simon Austin and Ben Thomas.

Meanwhile, Portland United Reserves travel to Mere Town (3pm)
