JAKE Richmond has left his players in no doubt about his expectations ahead of tonight’s clash at Hamworthy United Reserves (7.45pm) by warning heads will roll if he does not get a reaction.

Weymouth Reserves suffered an embarrassing 5-0 defeat at Blandford United last time out and it has clearly left an unsavoury taste in the mouths of the management team.

Joint-boss Richmond said: “I am looking for a reaction or heads will roll – it is as simple as that.

“I don’t care about the result but I expect a performance.

“We didn’t compete and were second to the ball at Blandford and I expect the lads to step up to the plate and make amends.

“When people put on that shirt I expect them to wear it with pride but that has been severely lacking and I will not accept that and cannot accept that.

“The least I expect from players is 100 per cent effort and commitment in every game. If they cannot give me that then it is not worth us carrying on working with them. At the end of the day it is up to them.”

The Terras will be boosted by three first-team squad players at the County Ground this evening in Chris Povall, Matt Groves and Mark Ford.

Richmond added: “Having those three should raise it up a little bit, particularly Matt Groves, who I know will be on to anyone who doesn’t pull their weight straight away.

“All of them need minutes and hopefully the rest of the team will respond to having those guys in the side.”

Weymouth currently sit 14th in the Magna Dorset Premier League, four points adrift of the Hammers, who have played one game less.
