Chickens out to make history
AWAY WORKING: Andy Hall
AWAY WORKING: Andy Hall

CHICKERELL will make history tonight at the Stalls if they manage to avoid defeat against second-bottom Moreton (6.30pm).

A win or a draw would seal an unbeaten Dorset Senior League campaign for the champions who have only dropped eight points so far all season.

The Chickens have also found the net a staggering 103 times and conceded just 16 in the division, and boss Dave Drage is looking forward to finishing the term on a high.

He said: "The lads are determined to finish the season unbeaten which would be a fantastic achievement so they are really up for tonight.

"They all seemed switched on to that in training but we also have to be a bit careful because Moreton beat Weymouth Sports 3-2 on Saturday, which was a great result."

Moreton will move out of the bottom two and leapfrog Broad-mayne on goal difference with victory tonight but they are seen as huge underdogs, particularly as United beat them 4-1 earlier in the season.

Drage added: "Everybody is available except Andy Hall, who is still working in Scotland, so it will be a case of involving as many of the lads as we can."

Chickens: A Weeks, S Coombs, D Welch, M Coombes, L Weeks, Smith, Miles, Roper, Price, Hall, Evans, Graham, Etherington, Coltart.
