TOP LADY: England manager Hope Powell presents Weymouth's Felicity Carroll with the Dorset Women's League Players' Player of the Year award
WEYMOUTH Ladies set up a last game shoot-out for the Dorset Women's League title by routing Donhead United 9-0 at the Wessex Stadium.
The Terras travel to leaders Purbeck tomorrow knowing a win will see them retain the crown and complete the double after already having secured the County Cup.
Despite being without influential captain Naomi Dixon and her central defensive partner Maxine Hodder, Weymouth started well in front of a good sized crowd by taking the lead on three minutes when Rosie Sharpe outpaced the United defence before applying a cool finish.
The hosts continued to impress with fluid passing moves through midfield trio Leanne Masters, Channelle Whyton and Kim Cheffey and with wingers Naomi Smith and Caroline Hill providing some testing crosses it was not long before they found the net again.
In fact by half-time it was 5-0 with Sharpe completing her hat trick and Whyton and Cheffey chipping in with composed strikes.
Fliss Carroll in the home goal did not have a shot to save in the first half thanks to impeccable defending from Carla Garth, Amy Cook and Laura Osborne, and the Terras continued their dominance after the break.

At the start of the second period Masters replaced Carroll, who went into midfield, and Helen Pearson and Lillie Stone came on for Sharpe and Emma Gillim.
The changes did upset Weymouth's rhythm for a time and hearts were in mouths when Carroll suffered an injury and had to withdraw but initial concerns were thankfully unfounded. Lesley Stevens entered the fray in her place.
Donhead enjoyed more possession but were unable to break the Terras down and in the end the hosts added
four more to their tally with Hill grabbing a hat trick and Smith also finding the net.
Winning coach Tim Davis said: "I was delighted with the way the girls applied themselves and we passed the ball very well at times.
"It was vital we got the three points but it was just as important to come out of the match with high morale and no significant injuries. I am pleased to say this was achieved.
"It is now full steam ahead for what promises to be a titanic struggle at league leaders Purbeck. We will go into the match as underdogs as we have to win whereas a draw will be good enough for them.
"I am sure it will prove to be a great advert for Dorset League football and we will go there full of confidence with a full strength squad to pick from."
