NICK Etherington and Ben Coltart were on target for Chickerell United as they wrapped up an unbeaten Dorset Senior League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Moreton at the Stalls.
Both men found the net in the first half ensuring the champions finished with 22 wins from their 26 games.
Winning boss Dave Drage said: "It was a good performance. In the first half we knocked the ball around well and went in at half-time two up. Then in the second half we just stuck it out.
"It is very pleasing to finish unbeaten and I am particularly pleased for the players. They have worked extremely hard and have now got their just rewards."
The Chickens are now hoping to be elevated into the Dorset Premier League.
Drage added: "We have still heard nothing official on that yet but hopefully it will be
rubber-stamped in the next few weeks."
