WEYMOUTH have arranged a pre-season friendly with Championship play-off finalists Bristol City at the Wessex Stadium on Friday, July 25 (7.30pm).
Although the friendly dates with Chickerell United and Bridport have been postponed, games which the club hope to rearrange during the course of the season, the Terras will see five Football League clubs visit the Wessex this summer.
And City will join local rivals Bristol Rovers, Championship side Southampton, League One outfit Yeovil Town and newly promoted League Two side Exeter City on the list of teams to make the trip to South Dorset.
Manager John Hollins has called on supporters to give the Terras their full backing for the friendlies.
He said: "The season starts now for us and we want our fans with us right from the off.
"A good pre-season is vital for any club and these games against high-class teams from top divisions will provide excellent preparation for the season ahead.
"It will give our fans the chance to see for themselves the hard work the lads have put in over the summer and, together, we can build momentum to get our season off to a flyer.
"The games with Chickerell and Bridport have been postponed because, with the other games we have got, we don't want to pack too many in, but we will play the two teams when we have an available week."
As an added incentive, Weymouth fans who pay to watch all five fixtures will get in for free to one of the matches as part of a multi-game saver ticket, which are available now.
Fans wishing to purchase advanced multi-game saver tickets, entitling them to attend all five friendlies for the price of four, should contact the club on 785558 or visit the club office between 10am-5pm from now until July 14.
Standard ticket prices per game are £10 for adults, £5 for over-65s and students, and £1 for under-16s.
