DORCHESTER Town will kick off the 2008/09 Blue Square South campaign with a trip to Braintree Town.

The Magpies are away once more for the opening day of the season, which falls on Saturday, August 9.

And Braintree, who lost out in the play-offs for the second consecutive season last term, should provide a tough test for manager Shaun Brooks' new-look squad.

Following that, the Magpies welcome Basingstoke Town and St Albans City to the Jewson Stadium in their next two fixtures.

Once again the county town side will face Bath City on Boxing Day (away) and New Year's Day (home), and a repeat of last season's final game sees Dorchester play Bromley, but this time at home.
