BRIDPORT 4

Butcher 46, Thomas 50, Latas 87, 90+3

OSCAR Latas struck two late goals to complete a remarkable second-half comeback for Bridport against Brislington in the Toolstation Western Premier Division.

The Bees had been trailing 2-0 at half-time but were level after five minutes of the restart.

Neikell Plummer and Louis Britton struck for Brislington after two balls over the top saw them run on and fire in to give the home side a solid lead after 20 minutes.

However, Mark Salter provided a superb ball for Ed Butcher who fired into the bottom corner to reduce the deficit.

Four minutes later, Butcher broke down the right and crossed in for Leighton Thomas to shoot in at the back post to drag the Bees level after a superb start to the second half.

It seemed like a point might be as far as the comeback could go for the away side, with the sides level in the 86th minute.

However, Latas struck in the 87th minute after Thomas got down the right and into the box, he fed Declan Cornish who laid it off to Latas to give the Bees the lead.

Latas then headed in late on from eight yards after a superb cross from Butcher to ensure victory.

Bridport host Bradford Town tomorrow (3pm).
