AFC BOURNEMOUTH star Jack Simpson was the special guest of Redlands FC when he handed out awards for their various teams.

The former Terras’ youth star handed awards to the Rebels under-7 and 11 boys’ teams as well as Rebels under-11 girls and Rebels, Bandits and Outlaws girls’ teams.

Simpson made his debut for the club in the Premier League last season by starting in the match at Manchester City where the Cherries were beaten 4-0 by the eventual Premier League champions.

The club have said that Simpson was absolutely brilliant with all the kids and now has a new legion of fans who will follow his career closely.

Meanwhile, Redlands FC-run FA SSE Wildcats Girls Football Centres for 5-11 year olds in Weymouth have resulted in four girls joining Redlands FC.

More could be joining in the next couple of weeks as the girls are allowed to make the move at their own pace.

Redlands FC runs four Wildcats Centres for girls of all abilities who want to learn new football skills and make new friends.

The sessions and centres are on at: Monday 3.30pm-4.30pm at St Andrews Primary School, Monday 6pm-7pm Redlands Community Sports Hub, Wednesday 4.30pm-5.30pm Conifers Primary School, Sundays 10am-11am Weymouth College Sports Centre.
