MAGPIES’ fans will have the chance to meet their FA Cup heroes this Sunday when the club stages an open day at the Avenue Stadium.

Several players, assistant-manager Stuart Heath and mascot Dinky Bear will all be in attendance, and tours will be held behind the scenes so people can find out more about Town’s great facilities and the initiatives the club has to offer, like Junior Magpies, the Freshers Club and the affiliation cards.

New merchandise has also just arrived in the club shop in time for Christmas and there will also be information available regarding Dorchester Town Youth, the Dorchester Town Trust and the Dorchester Town Supporters Club.

The open day will run from 12.30-4pm and light bites and refreshments will be available in the club’s bar which will be showing the Magpies’ recent victory over Plymouth Argyle from start to finish.

Commercial director Matt Bradley told Echosport: “We are trying to get existing DTFC supporters to come but also people in Dorchester who have never visited us before and only think we play football on a Saturday afternoon and that is it.

“We are trying to show that we are more than just a football club and have so much more to offer.”
