MATT Cafer put aspiring goalkeepers through their paces during a free coaching session at Budmouth College.

The Weymouth stopper, formerly with Yeovil Town, was representing the Just4keepers International Goalkeeper Academy, and the event proved a great success.

Around 20 people profited from the offer and there was some top-class keeping on display as Cafer shared his knowledge through a series of exercises and drills.

The Just4keepers International Goalkeeping Academy, which is based in Dorset, is now the biggest goalkeeper school in the world, operating in 20 countries.

In its 15 years of operation it has helped nearly 700 young keepers achieve their dream of getting to a professional club.

An academy spokesman said: “Our success is second to none worldwide as we have more young goalkeepers than any other goalkeeper school in history, currently standing at 10,000 keepers.

“As a gift to all the clubs in the county, we are offering the opportunity of one free goalkeeper coaching session in January and a pair of free goalkeeper gloves at one of our coaching venues in Dorset.

“So come along and see if you can be our next success story.”

Free coaching sessions will be taking place at the Budmouth Community Sports Centre on Monday evenings throughout January from 5pm-6.30pm.
