TOMORROW’S huge local derby between Upwey & Broadwey and Chickerell United at Redlands (2pm) is in doubt.
The recent wet weather has left the Weymouth venue saturated and there is every chance its pitches could be deemed unplayable for the second weekend running.
The Dorset Senior League has not seen any action since December 14 with the Chickens still sitting pretty at the summit with a two-point lead.
Upwey lie fourth, just three points adrift, with Sturminster Marshall and Westland Sports second and third respectively.
If the derby goes ahead, Upwey will be without Ben Porteous while Joel Protheroe will miss out for Chickerell.
United also have doubts over the fitness of Liam Miles.
Portland United Reserves are also in action tomorrow at home to basement boys Okeford United (2pm).
