BEES’ chief Trevor Senior is looking to draw a line under Tuesday’s lacklustre performance at neighbours Gillingham Town and focus his side’s attentions on hosting Winterbourne United tomorrow (3pm).

In a Western League division that the manager believes is highly competitive this term, Bridport slipped to 12th spot in midweek, with seven points in as many games.

But the St Mary’s Field boss is amendment that his troops have no need to push the panic button just yet, and is backing them to bounce back against Winter-bourne, who have only claimed one victory in their first five league fixtures.

Senior told Echosport: “It’s just another game really and there is no need to panic, we can write Tuesday off and move on to the weekend.

“We will just not make a big thing about it and move on.

“Winterbourne are a decent side but with the way the league has started this year anybody can beat anybody at the moment.

“Bristol Manor Farm will be the team that everybody is trying to catch and Melksham are strong too. At the start of the season, any result is not nailed on.”

Senior could also hand a first home start to former Dorchester Town and Weymouth striker Warren Byerley, having made his return to the club as a second-half substitute for the final 25 minutes at Gillingham.
