SOMETHING has got to give at Gypsy Lane tomorrow as Dorchester and hosts Frome bid to extend their winning runs in Southern Counties South to three matches.

Both sides have won their last two fixtures and are only separated by points difference in the league standings.

Dorchester edged past Corsham in their previous outing, that success coming on the back of a win over Bradford-on-Avon, while Frome, one place above the county town club in the table, beat Bradford last time out after a low-scoring triumph against Wimborne.

“Martyn Peel’s men were satisfied with their narrow victory away to Corsham, where once again they showed resolve and determination to come away with the spoils,” said Dorchester secretary Andrew Smith.

“There are two changes to the squad with the return of John Warren from injury and the inclusion of Rich Easter, who will be making his debut for the first XV after several impressive displays for the second XV.”

The game of the day in Southern Counties South is at Gainsborough Park where second-placed Sherborne host leaders Swanage & Wareham.

A local derby takes place at Monmouth Avenue in Dorset & Wilts Two South as Bridport visit Weymouth & Portland.

The hosts will be favourites for the clash following two big bonus-point wins over New Milton and North Dorset, whereas the Blues have suffered a couple of heavy beatings in the last fortnight.

“We’re looking forward to the game,” said Weymouth & Portland captain Kevin Leatham. “We haven’t played Bridport for three or four years.

“It’s obviously going to be a big one as it’s a local derby and they’ve always been good games between us.”

Dorchester Seconds welcome Wimborne Thirds to Coburg Road and Puddletown entertain East Dorset.

In Dorset & Wilts Three South, Weymouth & Portland Seconds make the trip to Blandford Seconds, and in Dorset & Wilts Four, Dorchester’s third XV are away to Swanage & Ware-ham Fourths. All games kick-off at 3pm.
