DORCHESTER Town last night lost to the “most complete” team they have faced in the league so far this season, according to county town boss Graham Kemp.

Jermaine Hylton netted twice for Redditch United in a 3-0 defeat of the Magpies at the Valley Stadium – the loss was Dorchester’s third in a row in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

But while Kemp gave credit to the hosts, particularly for their second-half display, he was again disappointed with his side’s defending.

However, he also felt the game might have turned out differently had Jack Odam taken a chance to open the scoring early on.

“Redditch played some really good football on a difficult pitch,” said Kemp. “From back to front, they are the most complete team we have played this season.

“They were head and shoulders above us in the second half and we were hanging on from the moment they scored their second.”

He added: “Our defending for their first goal was poor and you shouldn’t be conceding like that at any level. It was an awful goal to give away.

“It’s disappointing because if Jack had scored at 0-0 it would have been interesting to see what could have happened.

“I think it would have been a fair reflection of the game if the scores had been level at half-time.”
