WRESTLING star Robbie Nitro is set to bid an emotional farewell to Weymouth later this month at what will be his final show in the area.

The experienced grappler, who has performed around the seaside town for a number of years, will take to the ring against the Crusher in a no-disqualification bout at the Weymouth Centenary Club on Friday, March 27.

He told Echosport: "I am not retiring from the sport but it will be my last fight in Weymouth.

“It will be my thank you to the fans for supporting me and supporting us, and it will be my goodbye as well."

On his upcoming contest with the Crusher, he added: “He is not new to the sport but he is new to the area.

“He has not performed in the area before but has wrestled for pretty much every promotion there is up and down the country.

“With it being no disqualification, there will be tables, ladders, chairs, kendo sticks and everything else you can think of.”

Alongside that slobberknocker, there will also be five other matches taking place on the night.

A grand battle royal is also scheduled, which Nitro and a host of familiar faces including former WWE NXT star Zulu Warrior will enter.

Doors open at 7.30pm with the action starting at 8pm. Tickets are available on the door and cost £7.
