DORCHESTER player-manager Mark Jermyn returns to the county town's matchday squad for tomorrow’s trip to Hitchin Town (3pm), where the Magpies will be seeking a third league double of the season.
Jermyn managed his team from the sidelines on Tuesday night as they saw off Wimborne to reach the Dorset Senior Cup final.
And for Jermyn, who played in all of Dorchester’s eight games prior to the midweek win, he was able to get a different perspective on things compared to being on the pitch.
“When you’re in the dugout you can see the different areas you need to work on,” he said.
“One thing we do need to work on is our turnover of play, as I sometimes feel we could be more secure in keeping the ball.
“But there wasn’t too much I could complain about on Tuesday, and I thought Bradley Tarbuck and Dan Smith were outstanding.”
One interested spectator at the tie was former Avenue favourite Matty Holmes.
“Matty was impressed with what we have and to hear that from him means you must be doing something right,” added Jermyn.
Nick Crittenden remains unavailable through injury.
