BRIDPORT claimed a third successive clean sheet as they fought out a goalless draw with the Swans.
The result keeps the Bees 12th in the Dorset Premier League table, four points above last Saturday’s opponents.
Conditions weren’t conducive to free-flowing football at Days Park and both sides created chances by taking the direct route to goal.
Neither team could break the deadlock and Bridport boss Robin Townsend admitted a draw was a fair outcome.
“It was not as dire as it sounds,” he said. “The pitch looked good from a distance but when the teams tried to play it was so boggy.
“It was quite windy too and they played with the wind in the first half which meant we had to defend well.
“They created three or four chances and were definitely the better side before half-time.
“We tried to play football but in the second half we just said to the boys to get it forward.
“We also had a couple of chances but in the end a draw was a fair result.”
He added: “I was pleased that we kept a third clean sheet on the bounce.”
Bees: J Fry, Dunlop, Peart, Herbst, Day, Stordy, H Fry, Walken, Fouracre (A Clarke 75), B Clarke, T Gale.
