CRICKETERS from Weymouth and Dorchester came together to be part of the inaugural City T20 tournament, held at Wellington College.
They represented a Brighton team that was skippered by Weymouth’s Will McKay.
Seasiders’ chairman John Ryan, who also featured in the event, told Echosport: “The players who were supposed to play for the Brighton franchise qualified for another tournament but we stayed under the name of Brighton.
“It was nice to see a mixture of Weymouth and Dorchester players playing together.”
Unfortunately for Brighton, they lost their semi-final to Southampton, who to take on London in the final of the event on Sunday.
