A RICKY Lane hat-trick helped Snookes Stags maintain their perfect start to the season as the Weymouth Sunday League leaders saw off Dolphin at Redlands.

Snookes’ 5-1 triumph means that only they and Famous Old Spa still boast 100% records this term.

Lane’s Balti Sports team-mate Charlie Kenderdine and Grant Chance were also on target for the Stags, while Sean Gulliver replied for Dolphin.

Broadmayne are two points behind the Stags in the table following a comfortable 5-0 thrashing of The Gloucester.

Like Lane, James Moynehan bagged a treble for Broadmayne, with Harry Brewer and Joshua Beale netting the visitors’ other goals.

Goal machine Chris Skinner kept up his amazing scoring streak with another four in the Spa’s 7-0 trouncing of The Alex.

Karl Dean scored twice and Dave Sowerby once as the Spa made it three wins from three matches.

After a rare defeat last time out, reigning champions Kings Arms bounced back with a 4-0 defeat of Finns.

A Dean Williams brace, an Izzy Stewart strike and an own goal enabled Kings Arms to stay third in the standings.

Two teams without a win this season met at The Marsh as Market House faced Junction Trojans.

And in a close contest it was Market House who came out on top courtesy of Michael Colebrooke’s first-half effort.

The Trojans’ cause wasn’t aided by a red card for Barry Stratford.

This Sunday sees the top two sides in the league, Snookes Stags and Broadmayne, face each other at Broadmayne Playing Field.

The Spa put their unbeaten record on the line against Finns at Redlands and Junction Trojans look to get off the mark when they entertain The Alex.

Last season’s champions and runners-up meet as Kings Arms host Dolphin, while The Gloucester go to Market House.
