ANTHONY Honeyball’s Potwell Farm stable continues to record dazzling success, as seven-year-old Never Say Never took their score for the season to 14.

Never Say Never overcame second-placed Oscar Prairie to win the Higos Thatch Property Insurance Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle at Exeter.

With talented youngster Harry Cobden on board, Honeyball’s charge stood up to his 9-4 favourite’s tag at the starting post, and the Dorset trainer was delighted to see his charge perform so well.

He told his official website: “It is great to see our horses in such sparkling form and Never Say Never looked like adding to our score from some way out at Exeter before making rather hard work of getting past the leader in the closing stages.

“He benefitted from a fine ride from Harry Cobden who made excellent progress while based with us last season.

“Never Say Never escapes a penalty for Sunday’s win in a boys’ race so I will be looking to get him out again in the next eleven days before the handicapper has a chance to react.”

  • Meanwhile, at the same meeting, Motcombe handler Caroline Keevil celebrated a triumph for 9-1 shot Knight Ofthe Realm in the Higos For Your Commercial Insurance Handicap Hurdle.
