DENIED: Portland chief Gary Bailey will not see his side in action this afternoon
PORTLAND United’s scheduled crunch clash at the top of Sydenhams Wessex Division One against Amesbury Town this afternoon has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Bonnymead Park.
Islanders' boss Gary Bailey confirmed the washout to Echosport.
A post on the Amesbury Town Twitter account also read: “Unfortunately today's game is off. Pitch great in majority of areas but unplayable in four or five.”
The Blues will now focus on their Dorset Senior Cup clash at home against Dorchester Town on Tuesday.
