DORCHESTER Town player-manager Mark Jermyn felt his side had to dig deep to earn their first win at home in the league since February as they earned a 1-0 victory over St Neots Town.
Jermyn assisted the only goal of the game for the hosts and he felt his side didn’t play at their best but still got the three points.
He told Echosport: “We’ve played well in some games and lost, but in this match we didn’t play very well and won and I’ll take that.
“I’m very happy with Nathan (Walker) scoring again and Mario (Mateus) is causing people problems. There were lots of positives for sure.
“But, there were some questionable areas and we will sort those out.”
Speaking about his side’s discipline, he added: “A couple of our boys rode their luck, but I’m pleased we got the three points.
“It gives them a lift. Had we not got the win it would have been a travesty.”
The Magpies face Chippenham next at the Avenue tomorrow.
