BRIDPORT manager Adam Fricker wants his side to prove a point against Chipping Sodbury Town at St Mary’s Field tomorrow (3pm) – a team that beat the Bees 5-0 earlier in the season.

It was one of their worst performances of the campaign and the manager wants his charges to show they are better than that result suggests.

He told Echosport: “When we went up there earlier in the season, it was one of our poorest displays.

“We have a point to prove to them, we have to say ‘look, we’re not the same team you rolled over, we are a team to be matched’ and that’s what we have to do.”

Two first-team players return to the fold tomorrow giving the Bees some added depth.

Adam Barrett is set to be out until the new year with a knee injury and Louis Rutter is set to miss the clash with a hamstring problem that was picked up in last Saturday’s loss to Buckland Athletic.

Set to come in are Braeden Symes, from suspension, and Alan Hill.

Fricker added: “The two coming in give us greater strength in depth than we had a week ago.

“I don’t want to be sitting on the bench. With the players coming back, it gives us an option to freshen up.”

Elliott Mann is also out as he recovers from a wrist operation.
