SNOOKES Wombles have won the Hawkins Cup at the third attempt.
The eventual cup victors held a massive lead of 103 in the first round against Portland Royal British Legion with Gina Taylor taking them over the line.
Graham Park, Jason Raybould, Stewart Roberts, Keith Taylor and Karl Drinkhill took on favourites Snookes Choppers in the next round, who had already won the league.
Snookes enjoyed a 63-point advantage in the last frame and they took Roberts down to the colours.
However, a couple of great shots sealed the route to the final.
In the final against Snookes A, it went down to the colours in the final frame and Taylor withstood the pressure as the Wombles landed the cup.
