WEYMOUTH chairman Cube Whyte is expecting more “concentration and application” from his players when they tackle Cattistock at Redlands in County Division One tomorrow (1.30pm).

The Seasiders lost at Hamworthy Recreation last Saturday, but despite losing their last three games Whyte feels there are plus-points to take.

He told Echosport: “Looking at the results for the last three weeks the win-loss column doesn’t look good, but each week there have been positives.

“We probably left a little out there last week. The fielding dropped off and in reality if we held our chances, with that pitch, we could have put ourselves in with a chance of winning.

“It’s the little things that we need to do that aren’t the hardest things to fix, like concentration and application. If we can switch that on I’d back ourselves against anyone.”

Dean Janaway will continue to skipper the side in Simon Browne’s absence, with Weymouth set to make two changes from last week.

John Ryan and Sami Rathnayake miss out, but Dave Blackman returns from a hamstring injury and Tim Guyett is recalled from the second team.

Whyte said: “It’s pretty similar to last week, which is good to get a bit of continuity.”

Weymouth: Janaway, Blackman, Collins, Guyett, Mitchell, Puckett, Sapsworth, Walton, Webb, Whyte, Womble.
