LEWESTON’s dressage team have won the National Schools Equestrian Association Team Dressage title at the NSEA Championships at Addington Manor.
Two riders took novice tests and two preliminary tests with the best three scores putting them in first place. Two of the riders also placed in the top eight in the Individual Dressage Competition where Isabella Colwell was third and Maria Sage came in fifth.
Three of the team also placed fourth in the Team Im/1.05m Show Jumping final at the same competition.
The splendid result comes on the back of Leweston retaining their NSEA South West Regional Points League for the second year running.
Lorraine Roberts, Leweston’s Equestrian Manager, said: “We are delighted with this result, which is a reflection of how the equestrian squad at Leweston has developed and how hard the pupils work.
“We hold our own Grassroots Qualifiers on site every September are currently welcoming applications for our Equestrian Scholarships.”
The equestrian squad at Leweston has 24 riders aged between seven and 17 in the squad and members regularly compete across the region and they have taken teams to the Royal Windsor show and Hickstead.
