WEST Dorset took a substantial team to Poole for the season starter County/Regional Qualifier meet, held at Dorchester Sports Centre.
Swimmers with the required entry times, could enter from age nine and over, competing in 32 events over the weekend.
Swimmers from clubs throughout the south west attended this great swimming open meet.
West Dorset had a tremendous weekend and won the best visiting club award and Lauren Osgood, aged 10, won the best female athlete award.
Two club records were broken at the open meet, 50m freestyle by Dan Kingman and 400IM by Henry Wyril.
There were also plenty of medals won and personal best times achieved.
Head coach, Colin Cracknell said: “This is a really promising start to the season after the summer break, we can now build on these results for our own open meet, this December.”
