WEYMOUTH captain Harry Mitchell has called for more runs from the Seasiders’ middle order ahead of a trip to County Division Two leaders Wimborne & Colehill Seconds at the Leaze tomorrow (1.30pm).
Mitchell’s men have lost three of four away clashes this season, a statistic the Weymouth skipper is also aiming to remedy.
He told Echosport: “We’ve been very inconsistent away, I’d like to try and rectify that and get a win under our belts. There will be loads of energy this week and we’ll go there with positives.”
“I personally enjoy going up there – the bounce is true and it’s a good pitch. It should be a good day out.”
He added: “Every week the top four keep getting us the runs. I’d like to see five, six, seven and eight contribute more, that’s massively down to myself as well. It’s giving ourselves a bit more opportunity to make a score.”
Weymouth are without Sami Rathnayake, Simon Browne and John Wilson, but have Paul Collins and Jack Sapsworth back.
Weymouth (provisional): Collins, Walton, Webb, Womble, Mitchell, Taylor, Beals, J Sapsworth, Urumancheri, Gadsby, AN Other
