DANIEL Milverton finished third in his first competition of the year – a powerlifting meet.
The manager of Future Physiques Gym in Weymouth, competed against nine other competitors in a RAW qualifier under the BPC (British Powerlifting Con-gress), weighing in at 94.8kg. The powerlifting competition consists of the best of three lifts in each of the following events – squat, bench and deadlift. Each lift goes up in weight and at the end of each event, the heaviest successful lift counts towards the final total.
Results – Squat : 235kg – (518lbs or 37st); Bench: 135kg – (297lbs or 21st); Deadlift : 250kg – (551lbs or 39st).
This result earned Milverton an automatic invite to the British Powerlifting Final in May after finishing 10th overall, out of all weight classes combined and out of 35 competitors in total.
