Stableford delight for ace Davis

SALLY Davis came out on top in the ladies’ section monthly stableford at Weymouth Golf Club.
The event was played in perfect conditions and the scores reflected this with Davis winning Division One with a fantastic score of 41 points.
There was also a fine performance from Dawn Holland who scored 34 points to gain her first-ever competition win in Division Two.
Monica Barter and Jane Harries were the runners-up in each division respectively.
The section has also recently enjoyed a Bowmaker, a Texas Scramble and a Team Matchplay event.
Bowmaker (two or three stableford): 1 A Garnet, D Grant & H Stra-chan 70pts, 2 L Dodington, S Rand & S Davis 69pts.
Texas Scramble: 1 M Barter, C Freeman & M Allen 68.35 nett, 2 S Davis, P Leonard & L Osment 70.45 nett. * Team Matchplay Locals were beaten by The Rest 4-3.
