ROBBIE Taylor watched his young Dorchester side digest another major lesson at the hands of Wimborne Town at the Avenue Stadium.
The hosts appeared to be well on top after Steve Walker had given them an early lead but two mistakes at the back then saw their hopes crumble in dramatic fashion.
Boss Taylor, who fielded the same side that beat Bashley recently, said: “We actually started really well and after going 1-0 up in the first 20 minutes we looked quite comfortable.
“They were not in it at all but then two horrendous mistakes turned the tables.
“I felt for our keeper Dan Floyd on the first one and the second came quickly after as a result of a mix up.
“That then caused a bit of bickering and arguing, and after that our heads dropped and we never really regained any rhythm.
“We spoke about it afterwards and it is just another part of the learning curve for them in terms of maturing as players.
“When mistakes happen it is all about taking responsibility and getting your shape again and that is something I hope they have now taken on board.
“We are more than capable of playing well it is just about maturity of the mind, which is a massive thing and one you have to take on board in order to progress.”
Dorchester now sit ninth in the Wyvern Combination League with 11 points from eight games.
Magpies: Floyd, Beals (Butcher), Kimber, Austin, Walker, Way (Bennett), Brooks, Taylor, Goodland (Tennant), Godfrey, Carlile.
