PHIL Simkin said his side could have no complaints after they were beaten 4-0 by Chelmsford City last night.

The Dorchester Town boss felt the better team won and added that his players have no option now but to put the result behind them and move on to their next Blue Square Bet South fixture this Saturday.

A goal inside the first 60 seconds and two more in the space of five minutes gave the hosts a comfortable half-time lead before they added a fourth in the second period.

“We were outplayed by the better side,” said Simkin. “We deserved to get beat and we did and we didn’t deal with the conditions as well as they did in the first half.

“We did better in the second half but it wasn’t enough to pull it around and they deservedly won the game.

“We had several chances but didn’t take them and couldn’t get back into the game.

“They are a very good side and strong at home. It’s always a difficult fixture but we felt we didn’t do ourselves justice.

“It wasn’t through a lack of effort though.”

He added: “We haven’t got any choice but to move on. We’ll train on Thursday, go through it and look at the situation and see if we can improve it.”
