DORCHESTER Town fans will get the chance to see new signings Will Agbo and Ryan Woodford at the Avenue for the first time tonight when Portland United are the visitors for a pre-season friendly (7.45pm).

Former Horsham captain Woodford, who has also played for Andover, Eastleigh and Havant & Waterlooville, joined the Magpies after last Tuesday’s win at Bridport.

Defender Woodford was a second-half substitute in the 5-1 victory over the Bees and then played the full 90 minutes at Willand Rovers on Saturday.

Ex-Yeovil, Gillingham Town and Frome midfielder Agbo, pictured, scored twice against Bridport and featured at Willand before penning a 12-month deal that evening.

Magpies’ boss Phil Simkin is set to use several players on the fringes of the first team tonight, as well as a couple of trialists he is still looking at.

The game against Gary Bailey’s Dorset Premier League champions could turn out to be Dorchester’s penultimate friendly.

Problems with the pitch at AFC Totton, who the Magpies are due to go to on Saturday, mean Simkin’s men might not have a game at the weekend.

Their final warm-up fixture is next Monday when League One side Yeovil come to the Avenue (7.30pm).

Meanwhile, Hereford United’s position in the Southern League will remain after the club cleared its debts with all known football creditors.
