GRAHAM Kemp remains confident of his side’s chances of completing a league double over Hereford United this season, if they can cut out costly errors at Edgar Street this evening (7.45pm).

The county town chief is hoping that defenders Chris Dillon (groin) and Matt Oldring (ankle) will be fit to feature for the Magpies, who overcame the Bulls in a 3-0 win at the Avenue back in August.

And while tonight’s hosts, who have endured turmoil off the field in recent times, have improved their form with three wins in their last three games, Kemp is keen to get Dorchester’s campaign back on track by claiming the scalp of the former Football League club.

“We are going up there with belief and confidence and we have to do that in every game,” Kemp, whose side has suffered three defeats in their last three outings, told Echosport.

“All in all it’s not as disastrous as the results are showing at the moment, we just have to cut out the silly mistakes. That has been the difference between us and other teams, apart from Bristol Rovers obviously.

“We have just made more mistakes than the opposition and it is a fundamental rule of football that the fewer mistakes you make, the better chance you have of winning.

“We have to draw a line under recent games and I am a firm believer that whether you win or lose, you enjoy it and move on to the next one, and that is what we have to do.”

Kemp has also bolstered his ranks by bringing AFC Bournemouth youngster Mason Walsh back to the club on loan prior to the Bulls’ clash.

Walsh, son of former Tottenham and Liverpool striker Paul Walsh, featured for the club in their season opener at Arlesey Town earlier in the campaign and picked up a nasty ankle injury on his debut, but is set to re-join the ranks at the Avenue from the Cherries for another month.

Kemp added: “I am not a firm believer in loads of loan players but in the position we are in it is unfair on some our young players to keep throwing them in.

“We are under a bit of pressure at the moment and it’s unfair to start chucking some of our 16 or 17 year-old lads into that.”

Kemp also confirmed that influential duo Jake Smeeton and Jamie Gleeson are both out of tonight’s clash through injury and midfielder Micky Hubbard may be unavailable for a few weeks due to work commitments and personal reasons.
