DANNY Way has said he would relish the chance to pull on the black and white of Dorchester Town again this season after answering an SOS call from the Magpies earlier this month.

Way, now a student at university in Cardiff, made a fleeting return to the Avenue to provide injury cover for the league game against Biggleswade three weeks ago.

The defender is set to have around a month off from his studies over Christmas and is happy to be called on once more if county town boss Graham Kemp requires his services.

“I hope I’ll be able to play again this season,” said the 19-year-old. “I’ll definitely fill in if I’m needed over Christmas.

“I’m back for a month then, and at Easter, so I’m going to keep in touch with Dave Kiteley to see what the situation is.

“I would love to be involved against Weymouth on Boxing Day as it’s a massive game.”

On returning for the 1-0 defeat to Biggleswade, Way added: “The club asked me if I was in a position to come back and I ended up playing in the game.

“It was quite hard playing in senior football again but I enjoyed it. Graham is a nice guy and the lads made me feel really welcome.”
