SHERBORNE Town midfielder Lewis Morgan has signed dual registration forms with the Magpies and goes straight into Graham Kemp’s squad for tomorrow night’s game at Frome (7.45pm).

Morgan had originally left the Avenue for Tiverton in October 2013 following cuts to the county town side’s playing budget.

But after training with Kemp’s men in recent weeks, the Dorchester manager felt it was a “no-brainer” to get Morgan on board again.

“Lewis has been training with us for about three weeks and looks sharp,” said Kemp.

“It was a no-brainer to get him involved, and with Andy Robinson leaving there was always going to be an opening that needed to be filled.

“He is accomplished on the ball and seems to have the bit between his teeth. It’s always nice to get a new signing in as it can reinvigorate the squad.”

Kemp also confirmed that striker Jack Odam will miss the six-pointer against Frome tomorrow because of a holiday booked before he joined the club.

“It’s obviously disappointing not to have Jack,” added Kemp. “But it is something that was booked before he came to us when he was playing local football. There wasn’t really anything I could do about it.”

Dual-registered Dan Woodward, who made his Dorchester debut in the defeat to Weymouth on Boxing Day, is also unavailable due to work commitments.

* After being wound up at the High Court last month, Hereford United’s league record in the Evo-Stik Premier Division has been expunged.

ecause of this, Weymouth are now top, while Dorchester drop to 21st in the table, two points above bottom club Burnham.
