DORCHESTER Town continued their renaissance under boss Mark Jermyn last night by claiming a vital three points against rivals Frome.

Goals from Chris Dillon, Nathan Walker and substitute Sam Lanahan wrapped up a 3-1 win in Somerset to take the Magpies further away from the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division drop zone.

“It was a fantastic performance,” said assistant manager Nick Crittenden. “I thought the work rate of the players and their will to win was great.

“They didn’t let last Saturday’s defeat affect them at all and we now look like a different team at the back.

“The work the front three put in was exceptional and that set the tempo for everyone else.

“We got the first goal just before half-time and that was really important.

“You could see Frome’s heads drop and we went on to get a second and a third.

“It’s a massive win for us and shows how far we’ve come in a month.”

Dorchester now go to Dunstable on Saturday chasing a fifth league victory in seven outings.

Meanwhile, Crittenden played down speculation linking Poole Town’s Neil Martin with a return to the Avenue.
